Annual Awards

One of the highlights of the Conference agenda is the APMPUK Annual Awards Dinner. Not only is this a great evening, but it is more importantly an opportunity for those organisations, teams and individuals that are pursuing excellence in bid work, to showcase their efforts with an award. We shall, in the weeks to come, be updating the new Conference website to give the criteria for the Awards, but that does not stop you starting to think about putting in a submission and mobilising your efforts.

The launch of the new branding

A lot has already been reported to you on the new branding for APMP UK, so I shall not go over it all again here. Suffice to say that the new, clean, fresh logo and the newly laid out website(s) are a delight and we think will serve us well for the future. Although the re-branding was something we had to do, now that it is done we are delighted that we did.

Growing Regional Events

The four events held in February at several new locations were a great success and show that there is strong demand for our interesting events all over the country. I can report that we have a number of people who are aiming to set up events local to themselves, so keep looking at the emails and website for events, because you may find there is one local to you. We are of course keen to see more Event Organisers, so if you feel that your area is not getting the events that you want, then get in touch and we can work together to set up an event.

Support to the Directors

The volunteer directors on the APMP UK board put in a lot of their time to ensure that the APMP UK runs smoothly and provides the benefits that our members have a right to expect. But sometimes progress on an important or interesting topic, can be delayed due to the limit on resources. If you would like to provide support, either for a specific project or for an ongoing activity, then do please get in touch. You can be assured that whatever time you can commit will be put to good use for the benefit of our members and profession.

Jon is experienced at leading opportunities through all stages of the bid campaign and has led global bid teams from Italy, Germany, Netherlands to the US. Jon is a certified proposal professional and has served on the APMP UK board as Marketing & PR Director and COO since 2012.
