Who are the APMP UK Academia Focus Group?
The APMP UK Academia focus group brings together individuals to better track, understand and further the study of bids, tenders and proposals in formal academia. From peer-reviewed journal studies to better engagement with Universities and further education, the group work within the proposal community at Master's level and beyond to further the art and science of bidding.
The group aims to:
Map and enable access to academic research in bids and tenders across the globe
Track and communicate advances in the art and science of bidding to our member community
Create links with further education providers to advance the research and study of bidding.
Early work involves examining the current literature landscape surrounding bids and tenders to identify emergent themes and directions for future research. These research questions can then be addressed by the team in the future, as well as guiding research practitioners studying and researching in MBAs, Economics, Psychology, Operational Research and more. In parallel, the group is reaching out to MBA providers across the UK to examine the taught impact of bidding and to advance it as a graduate skill.
The Academia team aim to publish white-papers summarising their findings as well as creating a research digest in 2025, summarising emerging research in bids for the wider member community.
