The APMP UK Annual Awards celebrate excellence in the bid, capture and proposal profession by recognising outstanding achievements and contributions within the industry.

How to enter:
Nominations run from April to August, with the awards ceremony held at our flagship event, TBO. To enter, you must meet the criteria associated with each award category. Entries can be peer or self nominated and multiple entries can be received so long as they are not for the same person/project in the same category.
Every nomination received is submitted to an esteemed panel of judges. From across the globe, our judges are either Fellows, have achieved Professional certification or are a past CEO of APMP UK. With more than one judge reviewing an entry, their role is to score the response against the listed evaluation criteria.
Award categories
The Best Newcomer award recognises rising talent – those in the early stages of their bidding career who are making a difference to their teams, the companies and clients they work with and the profession more widely.
The Best Newcomer award is open to any APMP member in good standing who is new to the bid and proposal industry with a maximum of 24 months from date of nomination submission, working in the discipline of bid, proposal or capture management (i.e., bid co-ordinator, proposal writer, graphic designer, content specialist, knowledge specialist, bid manager, proposal manager).
Successful bid and proposal professionals drive and lead the creation of an environment that makes things happen. They balance bidding, management and creative skills with juggling different views and perspectives, backgrounds and personalities. They focus team performance to deliver.
The Bid Excellence award recognises professionals and specialists that have made an excellent contribution to the outcome of a specific bid, or, the outcome of an enhancement to your organisation’s bid capabilities.
To recognise the ability of an individual to influence, motivate and guide a group of people to achieve set goals.
The Outstanding Leadership award is open to any APMP member in good standing who has led a bid and proposal team with a minimum of 3 team members for a minimum of 24 months at the time of nomination submission.
The Design Excellence award recognises the important part that design plays in conveying bid information in a visual way. A bid designer holds specific skills in taking textual information and presenting it in a visual way that conveys specific messages in a bid or proposal response.
This award recognises design professionals and specialists that have made an excellent contribution to the outcome of a specific bid or proposal through design concepts that elevate the messaging of a bid or proposal response.
This award is designed to recognise writing professionals within the bid and capture domain and reward the exceptional writing skills within the APMP community. There are many writers who not only strive for excellence in their written proposals but also set the benchmark for quality writing within the industry.
Using either a singular example, or examples from multiple bids, provide evidence on the nominees writing capability.
This award celebrates the commitment and effectiveness of a bid and proposal team to overcome personal differences and work together towards a common goal, developing not only their organisation across all facets of the bid and proposal profession but also their emerging industry through innovative and thoughtful ways of working.
The Collaborative Teamwork award resonates with those bid and proposal teams that stand out as a beacon of driving success and maturity in the way that they enable their organisations to deliver successful and sustainable change and challenge themselves to become trusted business partners.
The criteria for this category places an emphasis on the team’s contribution to their organisation, delivery of consistent and demonstrable outcomes and development of the bid and proposal capability. Nominated teams must have worked on a specific project within the last 12 months from the date nominations close. The project could be a live deal or another initiative which involves a collaborative effort.
This award recognises the commitment of an individual from any business sector, to the development of the bid and proposal profession through the creation of new opportunities in professional development, process innovations and implementation of new tools/system. It is designed for those individuals that want to stand out in the development of bid and proposal professionals as well as demonstrating commitment to the improvement and development of the profession.
This award is not meant to recognise activity developed primarily for commercial gain or the general fulfilment of the job.
Successful capture professionals drive and lead the creation of an environment that makes things happen to win more of the right business. They apply specific tools and techniques to capture and analyse information, apply technical and leadership skills whilst juggling diverse views and perspectives, backgrounds and personalities. They focus team performance to deliver evidence-based information that drives the win strategy with clear benefits to their customers and other stakeholders.
The Capture Excellence award recognises the professionals and specialists who have made a significant contribution to the development of capture capability or specific capture goals and objectives.
This award is designed to recognise the team or individual who demonstrates exceptional voluntary efforts that have made a significant impact within the community. This award recognises those who selflessly dedicate their time and resources to deliver meaningful change and have inspired others to engage in community service. This award is open to those who have given personal commitment and companies who have delivered exceptional social value. It is open to APMP UK volunteers and other initiatives that demonstrate value to the community. The community could refer to the bidding profession or local areas to the nominee or their company.
This award is designed to recognise content and database managers within in the bid and proposal profession. Successful database professionals are critical to creating efficiencies and implementing best practices in knowledge management. They manage a large group of SME’s and stakeholders, whilst contributing to effective proposal development.
