Update

The APMP UK Procurement Focus Group have developed and published a new white paper, 'Progressing Procurement Best Practice in the UK' to coincide with the mobilisation date of the Procurement Act (PA23) on 24th February.

As many APMP members already know, PA23 will introduce significant reforms to public procurement. A fact sheet providing a summary of the reforms is already available on the APMP UK website (you can download it using the link below). The new white paper builds on this factsheet in challenging the public sector to consider how it might better work with the supply community, not just to harness the reforms, but to ensure and develop ongoing best practice in public procurement. The new white paper sets out nine priority areas of attention, including the relative complexity of procurements, inappropriate terms and requirements, meaningful market engagement, and improving scoring objectiveness. The Procurement Group will be championing the white paper with public procurement policy makers, practitioners, and influencers over the coming weeks. We encourage members to share the white paper through their own networks as well.
