Bio
Mark is an APMP Capture Practitioner with over three decades of capture and proposal experience—winning complex work, enabling others to do the same, and building organisational capability. An engineer by background, his career began in systems engineering within the medical and aerospace sectors, where writing his first proposal in July 1990 sparked a lifelong interest in building teams and futures, not just products.
He is Managing Director of Shipley UK, where he leads the UK team, works with strategic clients, and is responsible for capturing new business. During his time with Shipley, he has trained thousands of participants internationally, designed and delivered hundreds of business‑winning and capture workshops across diverse sectors, and helped organisations embed Capture as a leadership mindset rather than a process.
