Bio

Rachel brings 15+ years of business development experience, with 10+ years specialising in bid and proposal management. After completing a BSc in Medical Sciences and an LLM in Law at the University of Leeds, she began her career in the legal sector before transitioning into business development and sales. Her bid career began in 2015 after a graduate scheme, where she was promoted into bid management.

Since then, Rachel has held senior bid leadership roles, built strategic partnerships and led cross‑functional teams to secure complex, multi‑year, multi‑million‑pound contracts. She has a strong record of winning high‑value bids for start‑ups, SMEs, and global organisations across sectors including software and hardware development, IT, AI and data science, edtech, payments, transport, aviation and civil engineering. She is currently working in a senior bid role and completing an MBA with an Artificial Intelligence specialism.

Alongside her corporate career, Rachel has launched entrepreneurial ventures, and serves as an APMP mentor, supporting bid managers.

As Chief Relationships and Partnering Officer, Rachel will focus on building partnerships that extend the reach, credibility, and value for APMP UK members, while strengthening the profession and its connections with wider communities involved in securing new business.
