Our team of volunteer co-ordinators give their skills, time and experience helping to deliver the projects and initiatives that form the operations of each portfolio. Examples include Procurement Focus Groups and Graphics Focus Groups, Intentional Career Path, Webinars, etc.

An experienced Grant Writer, working at the interface between academia and industry to lead large-scale, strategically important, multi-partner research grant applications.

Leonie Thomas is a senior bid writer with over 20 years’ experience working on complex, high-value bids across construction, infrastructure and the built environment. She is Chair of the APMP UK Bid Writing Focus Group, leading national work to professionalise bid writing, define career pathways and shape the ethical adoption of AI. Leonie is also an active speaker and contributor to industry conversations on bid writing practice and professional standards.

Rachel Fisher is a graphic designer with 25 years’ experience, including 10 years in bidding. She holds an MA in Design Management and has written two white papers: Branding Strategies for Capture and The Evolving Role of the Proposal Designer. Rachel is an APMP Graphics Micro-Cert trainer, APMP mentor, and BIDX speaker.

I’m a Bid Writer at CGI, joining in November 2023 after a career spanning business development, marketing and 15 years as a self-employed copywriter and ghostwriter. I have since supported bids across utilities, telecoms, public safety and government.

Carole is a seasoned professional with wide experience and CF APMP certfication who is a part of the Social Value Committee

Volunteering maintains your Certifications
Each level of APMP certification requires that you maintain your credentials through ongoing professional development, measured in Continued Education Units (CEUs) or Continuing Professional Development (CPDs).
Certified members have two years to earn the required number of CEUs/CPDs as described in the chart below. Upon completion of CEUs/CPDs, your certification is renewed another two years (and the count of CEUs/CPDs resets to zero).
